Join Inventorium Academy Ltd and support inclusive education for diverse learners when our new Special Assistance School opens fully in July.

We are seeking a caring Special Education Support Officer (SESO/SSO) to collaborate with our innovative teaching team. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in students' lives by providing essential support in our inclusive learning environment designed for those who may not thrive in mainstream settings.

What you'll do

• Provide supportive guidance to students and collaborate with teachers to implement learning plans
• Create and coordinate engaging group activities and learning projects
• Support students' wellbeing and academic progress through personalised assistance
• Maintain accurate records of student development and progress
• Work collaboratively with families, teachers and specialist professionals
• Foster an inclusive, welcoming and safe learning environment
• Participate in professional development and training opportunities

What you'll need

• 4+ years experience supporting diverse learners in an educational setting
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Understanding of inclusive education practices and student wellbeing
• Experience with behaviour support and student engagement strategies
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Current Working with Children Check
• Commitment to maintaining privacy and data security standards

The Inventorium Academy is our new Special Assistance School that will open fully in July 2026 and provide a range of online and on-site learning experiences to students who need additional support to achieve their high school outcomes.
