Job Description

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced IB Psychology teacher to inspire students in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). The successful candidate will have a strong background in psychology and a passion for learning in the IBDP.

This is a part-time, fixed-term opportunity for the period of 12 months, covering a period of parental leave. This role will commence in Term 3, 2026.

The role:

• Teach IBDP Psychology while fostering a classroom environment rooted in curiosity, critical thinking, and scientific inquiry
• Deliver outstanding teaching and learning so that every student is challenged, makes progress and thrives in a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
• Commit to knowing students well, ensuring that learning is personalised so students can take their own next step in their learning progress
• Continuously seek out innovation, trying new teaching and learning strategies in the classroom, whilst contributing to a culture of experimentation
• Skilfully integrate learning technology into practice, selecting the most appropriate tools to enhance the learning experience

What do I need to succeed?

• Teaching qualification
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching IBDP Psychology
• Experience and knowledge around the IB Diploma Programme
• Experience teaching General Science will be highly regarded
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A passion for creativity and innovation in teaching
• A valid Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration
