About Our School

St Anthony of Padua Catholic College is a K-12 state-of-the-art Kindergarten to Year 12 college that provides opportunities for students to be known, valued and challenged for the 13 years of their formal education and beyond. About You

As a Secondary Religious Education Teacher, you will inspire students through engaging, student-centered teaching within a Catholic learning environment. You will bring:

  • a commitment to Catholic Education, with a clear understanding of the vision and mission of Catholic Schools and a willingness to support the faith formation of students
  • experience, qualifications and a willingness to teach Religious Education in stages 4 to 6
  • a commitment to academic excellence
  • exemplary classroom practice, utilising a range of contemporary, evidence based pedagogical approaches that support effective learning and academic rigour
  • effective use of formative and summative assessment practices to monitor student learning and drive ongoing progress
  • a data-informed approach to setting challenging learning objectives and delivering targeted, impactful feedback
  • an ability to create a culture of excellence and high expectations through positive support of student learning
  • a commitment to continual improvement of teaching and learning
  • ability to facilitate staff professional development in best practice teaching skills and content knowledge
  • highly developed interpersonal skills demonstrating an ability to effectively communicate with parents, students and staff
  • ability to work collaboratively in a team environment to promote a shared commitment to teaching and learning and alignment with College strategic directions
  • excellent time management, organisational and administrative skills
  • a tertiary qualification in Education and NESA accreditation
  • Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per the Sydney Catholic Schools Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead.
