Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the STEM Laboratory Manager, the Laboratory Technician plays a key role in supporting teaching staff and ensuring the effective operation of science laboratories.
In this role, you will:
- Prepare, test and set up experiments, practical activities and demonstrations
- Provide in-class support during practical lessons as required
- Maintain laboratories, equipment and scientific resources
- Manage stock, purchasing and inventory systems
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and regulatory requirements
- Maintain laboratory records, documentation and digital resources
- Collaborate with teaching staff to enhance practical learning experiences

Skills and Experience
You are a proactive and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative school environment. You will bring:
- Experience supporting science laboratories (school-based experience highly regarded)
- Strong organisational, administrative and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- High-level digital literacy (Microsoft Office; Synergetic experience advantageous)
- A positive, flexible and team-oriented approach
- A commitment to maintaining safe laboratory practices

Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Science, particularly in Biology
- Victorian Working With Children Check (Employee) is required prior to commencement.
- Driver’s licence to collect supplies and materials.
