A permanent part time position commencing 27 January 2026.

We are seeking a School Support Officer Food Technology to join our Technology and Applied Studies (TAS) faculty. This role involves supporting our teachers and maintaining a safe, well-organised environment.

This position exists to support the delivery of quality learning and teaching. This classroom-based position requires you to work collaboratively with teachers, providing assistance in all areas of student learning and management.

ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA

The preferred applicant demonstrates the following criteria:

• A commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
• Ability to support children’s individual learning in the classroom.
• Understanding of and ability to work with students with diverse needs.
• Ability to interact positively with students.
• Technical competence in appropriate technologies.
• Assist teachers with food preparation and maintenance of kitchen equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised environment.
• Ensure compliance with WHS standards.

DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA

• Previous experience in similar settings.
• Experience with the PB4L framework.
• Experience with Tech One and Compass.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Certificate III in Classroom Support or equivalent
• Current Senior First Aid Certificate

WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE

This role is classified as a child related work and therefore a working with children clearance is required prior to your commencement with us.
