St Mary MacKillop College is Canberra’s largest secondary school, operating across two campuses: Years 7 to 9 at our Padua Campus in Wanniassa, and Years 10 to 12 at our St Peter’s Campus in Isabella Plains. About the Role
The Religious Studies Teacher supports students in exploring Catholic beliefs, values, and traditions through engaging, curriculum‑aligned learning experiences. The Religious Studies Teacher use evidence‑based teaching practices to teach Year 11 and Year 12 students, foster students’ spiritual and moral growth, and create a respectful and supportive learning environment. This role contributes to the faith life of the school by delivering high‑quality Religious Education and building strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues.

Qualifications and Eligibility
- Bachelor of Teaching or Master of Teaching
- Minimum of five years of experience
- Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration
- Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration
- Be a practising Catholic, connected to a parish or other worshipping community
- Provide a reference from a current Parish Priest
- Have completed or be due to complete Accreditation E in accordance with the Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead in Catholic Education, Canberra and Goulburn Policy.
