Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the 0.4 FTE position Religious Education Leader. A teaching component can be incoporated if the applicant is looking for a higher FTE. This is an ongoing appointment to the school with a two-year appointment as Religious Education Leader within the school's Position of Leadership cycle.

St Mary's is a school of approximately 260 students 40km north of Melbourne. The northern corridor is the most rapidly growing area of Melbourne, and brings new and exciting opportunities in education.

Applicants require:

• A commitment to Catholic education and an understanding of the leadership role in Catholic education
• Evidence of working towards or have academic qualifications additional to initial teacher education. A Masters in Religious Education or Educational Leadership will be seen as an advantage
• Relevant experience within the last five (5) years in Catholic parish primary schools, or currently in a role associated with and supporting Catholic parish primary schools
• Accreditation to teach Religious Education
• An ability to work with a dedicated team to plan for teaching and learning
• Effective interpersonal and organisational skills
• A commitment to Child Safe Standards and the wellbeing of children
• Current VIT registration.

St. Mary’s Primary School Whittlesea is located approximately forty kilometres north of Melbourne. The school has been functioning since 1983. We currently have 12 classes in a straight and composite grade structure. St. Mary’s is situated on eight acres in a semi-rural community. It is one of three primary schools in the Christ the Light Parish (which includes the areas of Kinglake, Whittlesea, Mernda and Doreen).
