Erasmus Primary School is seeking an exceptional Principal to lead the School’s next chapter. Reporting to the Board of Directors, this role is responsible for the overall operation of the School, including educational leadership, staff development, compliance, culture, community engagement, and financial sustainability.

About the role

The Principal will:

• lead the School in line with its Constitution, Board direction, Ethos, and legal and educational standards
• oversee day-to-day operations, including education, pastoral care, staff leadership, and administration
• ensure compliance across key areas, including VRQA, Child Protection, Child Safe Standards, and OHS
• work closely with the Board on strategy, implementation, and measured growth
• appoint, lead, and develop high-quality staff
• maintain the School’s reputation and strengthen a positive, child-safe culture
• oversee budgeting, forecasting, and sustainable financial operations
• build strong relationships with parents, prospective parents, and the wider school community.

About you

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

• tertiary qualifications
• experience in teaching, leadership, management, and mentoring in a school or educational setting
• excellent written and verbal communication skills
• strong interpersonal, listening, and leadership capability
• the ability to lead strategically and operationally
• a personal interest in spirituality, meditation, and mindfulness principles.

• staff recruitment, development, review, and performance
• child safety, discipline, health, and wellbeing
• effective administration and school operations
• financial oversight and resource management
