Lorien Novalis School (Dural, Hills District) is seeking a Primary teacher to work across Classes 1–7, with the intention of becoming a Class Teacher and accompanying a class through their primary years in a Steiner setting. The Position
Lorien Novalis School is seeking a teacher to work in our Primary School across all classes, with the intention to take their own class as a Class Teacher in the future.
Our Class Teachers accompany the journey of the children from Class 1 to Class 7. The position offers an excellent lifelong learning opportunity for a teacher to pursue their own journey of personal development and professional competency. This position would suit someone who is an experienced Steiner teacher or wishes to become one.
As a teacher at Lorien Novalis, you would work with a cohesive group of colleagues and specialist teachers to deliver a rich, artistic and lively learning program that provides a wide range of educational experiences in keeping with the school’s creative curriculum indications. Weekly mentoring sessions are offered.
Lorien Novalis School is situated in the Hills District of Sydney, about 45 minutes northwest of the city, nestled in lush bushland and landscaped gardens. The school has been offering a rich and creative Steiner curriculum for over 50 years and has built a strong reputation for the diverse and engaging education that it provides.

- A willingness to work cooperatively and professionally with staff and management, including attending out-of-school professional development opportunities, teacher meetings, artistic lessons and other study sessions.
- Eagerness to self-study about Steiner Education and Anthroposophy and demonstrate a growing understanding of Steiner’s indications on human development.
Requirements
- Teacher registration with NESA – NSW Educational Standards Authority. (Conditional or Provisional Accreditation accepted)
- Hold a current NSW WWCC.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
