Assisi Catholic College, Upper Coomera, is seeking a Primary Teacher (Learning Enhancement) to support Early and Junior Years students.

  • Location: Assisi Catholic College - Upper Coomera (P)
  • Start date: 20 April 2026 - 4 December 2026
  • Work hours: 24.00 hours per week
  • Salary: $86,601- $124,725 per annum + super (commensurate with experience)
  • Status: Part Time Fixed Term until the end of 2026 school year

About the opportunity

Assisi Catholic College, Upper Coomera, is seeking a Primary Teacher (Learning Enhancement) to support Early and Junior Years students through targeted intervention, enrichment, and inclusive learning practices within a vibrant and collaborative school community.

In this position you will be responsible for:

  • Creating a nurturing and ordered learning environment that is learner-centred, supportive, cooperative, and aligned with relevant curriculum policies, documents and practices
  • Collaboratively developing and implementing quality curriculum programs and appropriate pedagogy; evaluating their effectiveness; assessing and reporting student progress and learning outcomes; and reporting these to students, parents and the community
  • Working in collaboration with AP Learning and Teaching to plan, implement, monitor and evaluate targeted teaching responses across year levels
  • Engage in consultation and collaboration with learning support and teaching teams to align programs to respond to student needs and College priorities
  • Consultation and collaboration with parents and carers regarding student engagement and progress
  • Proactively engaging with professional learning to enhance student learning outcomes
  • Establishing positive relationships in the pastoral care of students and supporting their spiritual and moral development
  • Ensure that the teachings and values of the Catholic Church form a foundation for learning and teaching.

  • Creating a supportive, learner-focused classroom aligned with the Australian Curriculum
  • Expertise in designing and delivering effective curriculum programs in line with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers
  • Commitment to engage with colleagues, students, and parents/carers to enrich learning experiences and achieve the best educational outcomes for students
  • A passion to support students' spiritual and moral development
  • For this position you are not required to be Catholic.

Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:

  • Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
  • Current registration with Queensland College of Teachers.
