About the Role

We are looking for an innovative educator who can share their passion for life-long learning with our enthusiastic students. Our students value educators who demonstrate an ability to build positive relationships, deliver differentiated programs and are able to employ a variety of engaging methods to effectively communicate their knowledge and understanding to all learners.

As a Primary Teacher, you will:

• Create a learning environment in which students feel safe to take intellectual risks, feel comfortable to seek assistance and will be encouraged to perform to the best of their abilities.
• Plan, prepare and deliver teaching and learning programs that meet the diverse characteristics, needs and learning styles of students.
• Ensure that the school and classroom environments are safe, conducive to learning and promote acceptable behaviour.

At FCAC, we recognise that not all learning happens within the classroom, with all teachers participating in our Outdoor Education and extra-curricular programs.

Skills and experience required

• Demonstrated experience and teaching qualifications.
• Hold a current QCT Registration.

Selection Criteria

• An ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and parents.
• Have a thorough knowledge of the P-6 Curriculum and a demonstrated ability to deliver differentiated programs.
• Proven ability to develop and implement effective assessment tasks aligned with Version 9.0 of the Australian Curriculum, with a strong understanding of curriculum intent and achievement standards.
• Well-developed classroom management skills with an expectation of high standards from students.
• Be a team player who demonstrates flexibility and preparedness to be involved in Primary School activities and to be an active participant in the whole school.
