About Our School

Our Lady of The Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School (OLSH) is a co-educational institution in Randwick, part of the Botany-Randwick Network of Sydney Catholic Schools. Established in 1881, it has a rich history influenced by the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Sisters and the Brigidine Sisters.

The school maintains high academic standards and strong community partnerships. The school enjoys a very positive partnership with the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Randwick Parish and is part of a vibrant collaborating community enjoying strong links with Platinum Pre-school, Brigidine College and Marcellin College. This has assisted students in their transition to Kindergarten and later to our Catholic high-schools.

It supports student wellbeing through various programs and promotes leadership and personalised learning. OLSH is also accredited as a Newman Gifted Education School, celebrating the diversity of its learners.

Position Highlights

The successful applicant will join the school with a focus on providing quality Catholic education, maximising student outcomes by offering a rich, relevant and holistic PDHPE curriculum that is student centred, flexible and challenging.

This full-time, permanent role is scheduled to commence on Tuesday, 27 January 2026. We welcome applications from recent graduates as well (if applicable).

About You

As a Primary PDHPE Teacher, you work to ensure every student reaches their full potential through high-quality, collaborative and engaging pedagogy.

To excel in this role, you will be able to:

  • create and implement engaging, rigorous planned learning experiences catering to the diverse needs of students
  • demonstrate sound knowledge in developing a K-6 Curriculum and the application of effective learning pedagogies
  • utilise formative and summative assessments to drive student progress
  • employ a data-informed approach to setting challenging learning objectives and providing constructive feedback
  • support the inclusive Catholic religious and cultural environment for students
  • demonstrate excellent classroom management skills focused on student well-being
  • integrate technology to enhance contemporary learning experiences.

You will have attained:

  • a tertiary qualification in Education
  • eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
  • Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead.

Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School (OLSH) is situated in the heart of Randwick and is part of a thriving Missionary of the Sacred Heart Parish. The school was established in 1881 by parishioners and later in 1882, by the Poor Clare Sisters and Loreto Sisters. The school’s strongest history and traditions date back to the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Sisters who ran the school from 1898 and later, the Brigidine Sisters in 1902.
