Navigator College is seeking a highly organised, professional, and people-focused People & HR Officer to join our team.

About the Role
As the People & HR Officer, you will be a central point of contact for staff, delivering high-quality human resources and administrative support across the College.
Working closely with the Principal and Business Manager, you will contribute to effective workforce practices while upholding confidentiality, professionalism, and the values of Lutheran education.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources & Administration
- Provide HR support across recruitment, onboarding, employment changes, and separations
- Maintain accurate and confidential staff records and HR documentation
- Support contracts, policies, and compliance processes
- Provide guidance to staff on employment conditions and processes
Recruitment & Induction
- Coordinate recruitment processes, including advertising, scheduling, and communication
- Support interview logistics and documentation
- Coordinate onboarding and induction for new staff
Payroll & Remuneration Support
- Assist with payroll processing, reporting, and reconciliations
- Maintain staff leave and entitlement records
- Prepare salary calculations, superannuation, and compliance documentation
- Support statutory reporting and payroll compliance
General Administration
- Provide administrative support to the Business Manager and leadership team
- Utilise HRIS, payroll systems, and Microsoft Office tools
- Assist with general office operations as required
About You
We are looking for a candidate who is:
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
- Approachable, professional, and service-oriented
- Able to maintain strict confidentiality
- A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- Capable of working independently and prioritising workload
- Experienced in HR administration, payroll support, or similar roles
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and administrative systems
Desirable:
- Certificate in administration or similar qualification
- Experience in education or a similar environment
- Understanding of employment legislation, awards, and agreements
