Position Overview

Sapphire Coast Anglican College is a PK-12, independent, Anglican College and is a Christ-centred, student-focused, community-minded school that develops extraordinary learners with a passion to serve others. Established in 1994, the College is located on the Far South Coast of NSW in the heart of the Bega Valley with an enrolment of approximately 470 students.

As a Primary and Secondary PDHPE/Sport teacher at Sapphire Coast Anglican College, you will be responsible for delivering high quality teaching and learning experiences that are engaging and meaningful.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver the relevant curriculum in a dynamic way, using initiative in bringing fresh and creative ideas to the classroom, gym and sports field
• Teaching from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 9, as required by the College
• Provide a safe and supportive learning environment with a focus on explicit instruction, developing deep understanding
• A strong awareness of the NSW curriculum and assessment requirements.
• Ability to differentiate curriculum and practice for PK-Year 9

• Work collaboratively with your teaching partners to program, teach and evaluate lessons
• Ability and commitment to design learning experiences that originate from student interests
• Ability and willingness to engage in daily conversations with parents about their child’s learning and development
• Uphold the Christian teachings of the College, encouraging students to serve others

• Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with other teachers, and work as part of a team, including the ability to confidently and constructively debate ideas with your teaching partners
• Demonstrated proven ability to effectively engage students, together with excellent student management skills
• Work ethic reflecting a commitment to excellence in teaching
• Excellent organisation and planning skills; must possess the ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities within strict deadlines
• Competent use of technology and communication with parents and carers
• Ability and willingness to be flexible when working within a team
