Loxton Lutheran School is planning to introduce an OSHC (including Vacation Care) service in 2027. We are seeking to employ an experienced OSHC Director to 'build' our OSHC service, ready for children at the start of term 1, 2027. Applicants must hold an approved qualification for working with children over preschool age in South Australia as listed on the ACECQA website.

Lutheran School is situated in Loxton in the Riverland of South Australia approximately 250 kilometres east of Adelaide on the banks of the River Murray. Loxton Lutheran School is a school of the Lutheran Church of Australia, with an enrolment of 234 students and 54 staff (includes specialist and non-teaching staff). The Loxton Lutheran School Early Learning Centre (ELC) is situated on our school grounds and is licensed for 30 children per day. The ELC operates 48 weeks per year, from 7:30am-5:45pm.

To complement our Early Learning Centre service provision for families, we are planning to offer an OSHC and Vacation Care service from 2027. This service will be open for 48 weeks of the year, from 7:30am-8:30am and 3:15pm-5:45pm. The service will be licensed for 30 students, from Reception-Year 6. The service will operate out of the current ELC building (we are currently building a new facility for the ELC which will be ready for term 1, 2027).

This position commences on July 20th. The position is fixed-term in 2026, with an ongoing permanent position available, where the FTE can be negotiated between the OSHC Director and Principal. The classification, terms and conditions for the successful applicant will be dependent on the qualifications of the applicant.

In 2026, the OSHC Director will work together with the Principal and Business Manager to work towards service approval, develop policies and procedures, recruit staff and complete other tasks as required to be in a position where the service is ready for students in term 1, 2027.
