Above Award Rates $39.18 to $49.82 per hour (dependent on experience) + 12.75% Superannuation

About the Role

In this role, the successful applicant will:

  • Support Play-Based Activities — Assist in delivering engaging, play based experiences that inspire curiosity and support children’s development and wellbeing.
  • Create Inclusive Environments — Help set up and maintain inclusive, stimulating spaces that encourage exploration, creativity, and discovery.
  • Build Positive Relationships — Foster warm, nurturing relationships with children to promote emotional safety, confidence, and a strong sense of belonging.
  • Support Family Partnerships — Communicate respectfully with families, supporting positive partnerships that contribute to each child’s learning journey.
  • Collaborate with the Team — Work closely with the OSHC team to ensure smooth daily operations, consistent supervision, and a positive, child centred program culture.

Our TAS OSHC Service is offered on all school days, including pupil-free days (closed public holidays and for 2 weeks over Christmas each year.)

  • Before School Care operating hours are 7am to 8:30am
  • After school Care operating hours are 3:00pm to 5:45pm

Vacation Care operates during school holidays and on pupil-free days. It combines excursions, theme-based days, specialty clubs and incursions.

  • Vacation Care operating hours are 7:00am to 5:45pm

About you

To be successful in this role you are:

  • A team player who is warm and friendly person with a child nurturing disposition, motivated to contribute to our work towards a centre of excellence.
  • A respectful communicator focused on building strong relationships
  • Passionate about creating an inclusive, safe and engaging environment where all children feel respected, supported and able to participate
  • Can assist with the planning, implementation, and evaluation of a high-quality program, this includes contributing to the QIP.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and open to learning new systems

You will also bring:

  • Certificate III or Diploma in Children’s Services (or similar qualification) or working towards attainment, or
  • Working towards a certificate or tertiary qualification such as Education, Nursing etc.
  • Experience in OSHC or Vacation care preferably in a school environment (preferred)
  • Certificate - CPR
  • Certificate - First Aid
