Key Selection Criteria

The successful applicant will be a highly effective Teacher who demonstrates the following:

  • a commitment to the Catholic Church and a strong sense of faith
  • capacity to enliven the values of truth, empathy, excellence, curiosity and collaboration in students with regard to the Mission and Vision of Sydney Catholic Schools
  • qualified and experienced to teach a range of Stage 4, 5 and/or 6 Mathematics and Religious Education subjects
  • ability to demonstrate differentiated pedagogical approaches to teaching and learning
  • a willingness to undertake continued professional development and faith formation
  • a willingness to assist and supervise students in school extracurricular/sport activities
  • ability to support the College's scholastic initiatives and promote its innovation in light of the Strategic Plan
  • prepared to undertake leadership mentoring and training from peers and develop and demonstrate strong professional relationships with colleagues.

About You

As a Mathematics & Religious Education Teacher, you will inspire students through engaging, student-centered teaching within a Catholic learning environment. You'll bring:

  • strong classroom management and student well-being focus
  • ability to create inclusive, rigorous learning experiences
  • a tertiary qualification in Education and NESA accreditation
  • Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead.
