St Dominic’s School, a vibrant and inclusive Catholic primary school in Melton, is seeking an experienced, passionate, and innovative Literacy Leader to inspire excellence in teaching and learning across Prep to Grade 6.

We are committed to nurturing the whole child, fostering a love of learning, and ensuring every student achieves their full potential. As our Literacy Leader, you will play a key role in shaping and supporting a culture of high expectations and continuous improvement in literacy.

As Literacy Leader you will:

• Work closely with the Learning and Teaching Leader to lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based literacy practices.
• Support and coach teachers to deliver high-quality, differentiated literacy instruction.
• Analyse student data to inform practice and improve outcomes.
• Coordinate whole-school literacy programs and assessments.
• Collaborate with staff, leadership, and families to support student growth.
• Have a deep understanding of the Victorian Curriculum and contemporary literacy pedagogy.
• Demonstrate strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
• Be committed to the Catholic ethos and values of our school community.
• Have excellent communication and organisational abilities

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in education.
• Demonstrated experience in literacy leadership or a similar role.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• A commitment to working in partnership with staff, students, and families in a faith-filled learning environment.
• Demonstrate a commitment to our Child Safe policies and procedures.
