Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant

Pay - £90-£110 p/day (PAYE)

Veritas Education are recruiting Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistants for Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) roles in schools across Middlesbrough. These positions are temporary, with immediate starts available.

We are looking for experienced, caring, and confident practitioners who meet the DfE-approved Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification criteria, which define the minimum knowledge and skills required to support children from birth to age 5 within the EYFS framework.

Staff must hold an appropriate Level 3 qualification that is recognised as full and relevant for EYFS ratios under current statutory guidance.

Role Overview

You will support children within Nursery and Reception classes, helping create a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment. Your role may include:

• Supporting children's learning through play and structured activities
• Working 1:1 or with small groups
• Assisting with phonics, early literacy, and early numeracy
• Contributing to observations and assessments
• Promoting children's social, emotional, and physical development

Requirements

To be considered, candidates must have:

• Level 3 Early Years Educator / TA qualification, meeting DfE criteria for EYFS settings
• Experience working within EYFS (Nursery or Reception)
• Strong understanding of child development and EYFS practice
• A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and contribute to a positive classroom environment
