The position of LSO at Mary Queen of Heaven School will commence at the beginning of Term 3 2025.

The role of Learning Support Officer will require energy, a positive mindset, an enthusiasm for developing culture, patience, creativity and flexibility. Experience in working with children with additional needs is an advantage.

Mary Queen of Heaven is situated on Wurundjeri Land, in the Maples Estate, in the suburb of Greenvale. We are developing a rich history and tradition in Catholic education. Mary Queen of Heaven is the third Catholic primary school in the Good Shepherd Parish, Gladstone Park.

Our school has 320 students in 202, with a projected enrolment of 520 students from the Parish of Gladstone Park. It will be a vibrant and close-knit community where students, parents and staff work together in a spirit of unity and harmony.

This position is 3 days per week, 8:30-3:30pm

The successful applicant will:

• work collaboratively with teaching staff and students with regards to student learning needs
• assist children with their learning/personal needs, either in groups or individually
• participate in Program Support Group (PSG) meetings as required
• have experience working with students with autism and other learning and behavioural needs
• comply with the school's Child Safe Policy, Code of Conduct and procedures relating to Child Safety.

• Commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education
• Ability to work as part of a professional educative team
• Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
• Criminal Record check
• Learning support qualifications
• Committed to the collection of evidence for NCCD purposes
