Learning Support Officer
The Learning Support Officer supports students who need additional help so they can participate in the School’s classes, activities, and events, including excursions and camps. This is a .5 FTE (part-time role negotiable over four/five days).
St Macartan's seeks part time, fixed term applicants for positions available in 2026, to support primary school funded NCCD students. Hours and responsibilities vary according to the needs of the school. Pre-service teachers currently enrolled in an education course at university encouraged to apply.
Applicants may also hold a Certificate IV in Education Support or equivalent. The successful applicant will:
- apply in writing and include the names and mobile number details of three referees.
- demonstrate a commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education
- have relevant qualifications in education support within a primary school setting
- be able to build and maintain professional and appropriate nurturing relationships with students, teachers, parents and colleagues
- be able to maintain confidentiality and work in a team
- have a current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- demonstrate initiative, be flexible and competent to carry out a variety of tasks
