OLOR Waitara is currently seeking a passionate Learning Support Assistant to join the team!

Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Primary School, Waitara is currently seeking a passionate Learning Support Assistant. The successful candidate will be suitably qualified and enjoy working in a dynamic and cohesive team.

This is a 12-month temporary, part-time opportunity (36 hours per fortnight) to commence Term 1, 2026. During this engagement, the successful candidate will be required to work Monday - Wednesday.

Specific Criteria

• Learning Support Assistance experience preferred
• Demonstrated commitment to student well-being and child safety
• Capability to work cooperatively within a team environment
• Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships
• Effective organisational skills and the ability to be able to multi-task and work efficiently
• Acts professionally and maintains confidentiality
• Demonstrated ability to exercise independent initiative and judgement when required
• Honest, reliable and a high standard of integrity
• A current Working with Children Check
• Proficient in the use of technology to enhance student learning
• Willingness to contribute to the broader extracurricular aspects of school life as an active member of the school community

Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic School, Waitara was established in 1898 by the Sisters of Mercy. In October 1991 our school was re-located to the new OLOR Parish site in Yardley Avenue. The school is situated in the Hornsby district of Sydney’s north and has a current enrolment of 350 students. Our school also serves and has close links with the parish of Queen of Peace Normanhurst.
