Our Project Team is focused on driving transformation across procurement and finance systems to enable a seamless, contemporary experience for our business and suppliers. We lead initiatives that enhance supplier onboarding and offboarding processes, uplift our buying platform, and improve end-to-end procurement workflows. By delivering robust tools, streamlined processes, and innovative solutions, we aim to create efficiency, transparency, and compliance across the supplier lifecycle. Collaboration is at the heart of what we do—we partner closely with Finance, Procurement, and broader business functions to ensure these improvements support strategic goals and deliver real value.
Summary
Leverage your expertise in strategy and collaboration across Brisbane Catholic Education, driving enhancements in operational efficiency as a Lead – Finance Innovation. This role will provide leadership and direction for the finance improvement projects. The initial focus will be on Supplier Onboarding and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) optimisation. You will lead a program of continuous improvement to enhance efficiencies and stakeholder relationships.

- Salary: $155,351 - $172,606 plus super
- Status: Fixed term | January 2026 - March 2026

About the opportunity
In this position you will:
- Provide expert and strategic advice to the and Corporate Services Leadership team on project requirements, activities, and sequencing to accelerate supplier onboarding and P2P business process optimisation.
- Collaborate with Financial Services Leaders and IT to develop and implement programs of work, ensuring access to financial expertise, services, and solutions to optimise school and BCE office needs.
- Provide strategic project, financial and professional leadership to deliver accelerated efficiencies and long-term financial sustainability.
- Lead process improvement across multiple service streams to determine and enable best end state processes, continuous improvement, and optimisation.
- Plan, manage, and communicate with key stakeholders to ensure buy-in and understanding.
- Review, recommend, and prioritise financial services projects and initiatives in line with strategy and business priorities.
- Research, analyse, and recommend future requirements of relevant processes, tools, and systems, and develop and present recommendations for change.
- Coach staff to become highly skilled process improvement experts, championing innovation.
About you
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
- Experience in coaching and developing staff to become improvement experts.
- Being responsible for the implementation and delivery of strategic objectives and attainment.
- Identifying function area needs for now and the future.
- Stakeholder engagement across an organisation at a Senior level.
- Proven experience in providing strategic advice and leading finance improvement projects.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Financial Services Leaders and IT
- Relevant tertiary education and/or extensive experience in accounting, commerce, business, or a relevant field.
- Membership of CA/CPA or equivalent is preferred.
Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:
- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
- Ability to obtain a National Criminal History check prior to commencement.
