The Headmaster seeks to appoint appropriately qualified and experienced Christian educators who demonstrate a commitment to their Christian faith, as evidenced by regular attendance and involvement at a Church, to these full-time positions. The successful candidates will join the highly professional, dynamic, and industrious Junior School and/or early Middle School teams. A distinct advantage is a willingness to teach across Early Stage 1 (Transition) to Stage 3.

The staff of Macarthur are beneficiaries of well-resourced facilities, an Apple laptop computer (for the duration of employment) and a supportive Christian teaching environment.

Candidates for these roles will be required to demonstrate:

• a passion for teaching and deep knowledge of the various syllabus documents, K-6;
• an understanding of and commitment to student wellbeing;
• well-developed written, oral and organisational skills;
• an innovative approach to teaching and learning;
• a comprehensive understanding of classroom differentiation;
• a commitment to detailed and timely feedback to students; and,
• a deep understanding of how students think and learn.

The successful candidate will also need to demonstrate an innovative use of ICT in teaching and learning, proficiency in writing teaching programmes, and an understanding of best practices in student assessment and feedback. The desire to contribute to the outdoor education and co-curricular programmes that provide a rich experience for our students and a rewarding sense of job satisfaction for our teachers is imperative.
