Kindergarten Support Teacher, 2026 – Full Time

Lorien Novalis School (Dural, Hills District) is seeking a qualified, caring teacher to work alongside our Kindergarten teacher in a beautiful Steiner-school setting. The role includes supporting daily programs, teaching timetabled sessions and relief teaching. Applications close 15 January 2026.

The Position

We are seeking a qualified teacher to work alongside our kindergarten teacher. This opportunity would suit someone who is already experienced in, or wishes to become, a teacher in Steiner Education. The job entails supporting the kindergarten teacher, teaching some timetabled sessions, and filling in as relief when required. These young children call for enthusiastic, caring, and loving teachers who are open to sharing a sense of wonder about the world with them.

Lorien Novalis School is situated in the Hills District of Sydney, about 45 minutes northwest of the city, nestled in lush bushland and landscaped gardens. The school has been offering a rich and creative Steiner curriculum for over 50 years and has built a strong reputation for the diverse and engaging education that it provides.

• A willingness to work cooperatively and professionally with staff and management, including attending out-of-school professional development opportunities, teacher meetings, artistic lessons and other study sessions.
• Eagerness to self-study about Steiner Education and Anthroposophy and demonstrate a growing understanding of Steiner’s indications on human development.

Requirements

• Teacher registration with NESA – NSW Educational Standards Authority. (Conditional or Provisional Accreditation accepted)
• Hold a current NSW WWCC.
• Current First Aid Certificate.
