About You
As an Instructional Leader of Science, you will inspire students through engaging, student-centred teaching within a Catholic learning environment. The Instructional Leader of Science position is a 2-point promotional role, temporary for up to 3 years, however your teaching position will be full-time and permanent. You'll bring:
- strong expertise in the NSW Syllabus for secondary Science
- capacity to design and implement curriculum programs that improve outcomes for students of all abilities
- demonstrated success as an inspirational classroom practitioner across Stages 4–6
- an understanding and commitment to explicit teaching principles
- ability to drive academic improvement and results through evidence-based practice
- proven leadership skills with the capacity to mentor, support and inspire staff
- strong classroom management & student well-being focus
- highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students and families
- commitment to ongoing professional learning and formation
- a tertiary qualification in Education and NESA accreditation.
Essential
- capacity to teach Stage 6 Physics and Chemistry.
