About the role

The ICT Field Services Support Officer plays a crucial role in providing ICT support to NSW Public Schools and Departmental Offices, ensuring efficient service delivery.

This position involves on-site support for diagnosing and resolving incidents in accordance with departmental standards, assisting senior technical staff with the transition and enhancement of standardised ICT services, and supporting the resolution of major service interruptions by escalating issues to the ICT Field Services Support Coordinator.

The ICT Field Services Support Officer is responsible for maintaining efficient and effective service operations through maintaining and communicating key technical and operational documentation. The role also focuses on contributing to continuous improvement processes to enhance service quality across diverse technologies in NSW while engaging with stakeholders of varying ICT skills within established policies and guidelines.

About you 

  • Provide and maintain ongoing ICT support, diagnose and resolve incidents, issues via remote-support tools and on-site.
  • Highly organised.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work cohesively with stakeholders to deliver results.
  •  Ability to work with a team autonomously.
  • Ability to work towards tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Essential requirements of the role

  • Working with children check for paid employment.
  • Current and valid Driver's Licence with good driving record.
  • Willingness and ability to undertake short-term travel across but not limited to the assigned area of responsibility.
  •  Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the values of public education.

2.     Describe a time when you encountered a challenging issue, and you needed to work with others to provide a solution for a customer. What made the situation challenging and what were your contributions to the solution. (maximum 300 words)

3.     Do you have a current and valid Working with Children Check for paid employment?

4.     Do you have an unrestricted driver’s licence? (Learners Licences are not acceptable)
