About You

As a HSIE Coordinator (2-Point), you will provide strategic and instructional leadership, guide curriculum delivery and model exemplary practice. You will bring expertise in NESA and HSC requirements and your work will contribute to every student reaching their full potential through high quality, collaborative and engaging pedagogy.

To excel in this role, you will :

  • demonstrate proficiency and proven experience in teaching Stage 5 and 6 HSIE subjects. The ability to teach Economics and/or Business Studies is advantageous
  • provide leadership and oversight of all HSIE teaching and learning, ensuring excellence in curriculum delivery and assessment
  • create and implement engaging, rigorous planned learning experiences catering to the diverse needs of students
  • employ a data-informed approach to setting challenging learning objectives and providing constructive feedback
  • create and utilise formative and summative assessments to drive student progress
  • support and mentor teachers through professional development, feedback, and shared learning approaches
  • display an eagerness for continuous professional growth and spiritual development
  • support the College's educational advancements and endorse innovation as outlined in our Strategic Plan
  • support the inclusive Catholic religious and cultural environment for students
  • contribute to the wider life of the school through Co-Curricular involvement, events, and professional learning initiatives
  • have a tertiary qualification in Education and NESA accreditation
  • have Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead.
