Position Information
Chifley College Bidwill Campus is a comprehensive 7-12 campus in Chifley College, located in Western Sydney on the land of the Darug people. We share our site with Bidwill Public School and Bidwill Preschool, giving us a uniquely family oriented, community atmosphere and culture. A support unit is also part of our school. Current enrolment is 708, which has been steadily growing over the last five years. Approximately 25% of students are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander and approximately 40% of students are Pasifika.
Our school embeds Choice Theory as a guiding principle. All teaching and learning programs, and all wellbeing initiatives, are designed to reinforce these values and support students in their social, personal and academic growth.

Selection Criteria
Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. In addition to the general selection criteria, candidates will address the following specific selection criteria:
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and an understanding of the Chifley College Context to build productive relationships with staff, students and families within the school community and across the college.
- Demonstrated capacity to lead inclusive educational practice and support whole-school approaches to disability and inclusion, including the implementation of policy, development of staff capability, and collaboration with families.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing, leading and delivering high impact whole school professional learning that enhances staff capacity for quality teaching which embeds differentiation, HPGE, literacy and numeracy.
- Demonstrated visible leadership with the capacity to work collaboratively with the school leadership team to drive whole school improvement linked to the School Excellence Plan.
General Selection Criteria
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
