Responsibilities include, but not limited to;

Lead the department in delivering the Australian Curriculum v.9, embedding evidence-based strategies to improve student outcomes across Health & Physical Education and related programs.
Provide strong instructional leadership, fostering a culture of high expectations that supports both staff and students to achieve excellence and reach their full potential.
Mentor, coach, and support teachers through collaborative planning, professional learning, and classroom guidance to build capability and a high-performing team.
Promote positive student engagement through sport, physical activity, wellbeing initiatives, enrichment programs, and problem-solving opportunities.
Build and maintain strong, productive relationships with students, staff, families, and community partners to enhance participation and achievement.
Coordinate the Metropolitan Sports Director portfolio, ensuring effective leadership in co-curricular sport and student engagement.
