Yarrabilba State School is the first state school in the vibrant, fast-growing Yarrabilba community, catering to students from prep to year 6. Since opening in 2018, we have provided a local, welcoming school for families in close proximity to their homes. About the Role

As the Head of Department - Curriculum, you will lead the curriculum in alignment with school and departmental initiatives, enhancing the quality of teaching and learning across P-6.

You will foster positive relationships among students, teachers, and stakeholders, and play a key role in facilitating collaborative planning meetings with teachers, focusing on the implementation of Version 9 of the Australian Curriculum.

The successful candidate will bring experience and strong interpersonal skills to support staff through coaching and capability building, with a particular emphasis on improving reading outcomes.

This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with a motivated leadership team.

As the Head of Department (Curriculum), your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Lead the relevant curriculum areas or whole school program to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
• Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
• Set high standards for student and staff performance.
• Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
