Situated on 30 acres between Rouse Hill and Windsor, Arndell caters for a growing population of almost 1300 students – with over 500 in Junior School (Prep to Year 6) and just under 800 in Secondary School (Years 7 to 12). The Invitation
Arndell Anglican College invites applications for the position of Grounds and Maintenance Team Member.
Reporting to the Facilities and WHS Manager, this role plays a key part in ensuring that the College’s facilities, grounds, buildings, and agricultural spaces are maintained to a high standard, contributing to the academic, pastoral, and spiritual life of the College.
The Grounds and Maintenance Team Member will work as part of a collaborative team to ensure the College’s presentation, safety, and functionality are exemplary and reflective of Arndell’s values. This role also supports College operations and events, contributing to the wider life of the College, which may include occasional attendance at sporting and community events.
In this role, you will:
- Undertake daily maintenance and presentation of College facilities, grounds, gardens, sporting fields, and buildings.
- Perform minor repairs, painting, concreting, and general upkeep across the campus.
- Assist with the setup and pack down of College events, assemblies, and functions.
- Support the Agriculture Faculty through animal care, feeding, and preparation for shows.
- Manage College mini-buses, including cleaning, refuelling, and coordination of repairs and inspections.
- Implement safe work practices and maintain compliance with WHS and Child Safe standards.
- Contribute positively as a collaborative and effective member of the Facilities Team.

About You
You are a hands-on, team-oriented professional who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment. You thrive in a busy, collaborative setting and are motivated by service and contribution.
You will bring:
- Experience in building, grounds, and facilities maintenance (school or similar environment preferred)
- Relevant trade qualifications such as Certificate III in Horticulture and/or Certificate III in Animal Care Services (highly regarded)
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- A positive, proactive attitude and the ability to work respectfully within a Christian environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and contractors
- A willingness to participate in the wider life of the College, including occasional sporting or community events
- Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Driver’s licence (LR or MR preferred) and ability to drive manual and automatic vehicles
- First Aid Certificate, or willingness to obtain
- Willingness to complete Working at Heights, Confined Spaces, and Chemical Handling training as required
- Reasonable level of physical fitness to perform manual and outdoor duties safely

This is a permanent full-time position (38 hours per week), including non-term time. Start and finish times may vary with seasonal and workload requirements.
