Graduate Teaching Assistant

Location: South East London Start Date: ASAP Contract: Full-time, Term-time Salary: £100-120 per day (dependent on experience)

About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and inclusive SEN school. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to gain hands-on experience supporting children with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and communication difficulties.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Work closely with teachers and therapists to support students' learning and development
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support
  • Help create a positive, engaging, and safe learning environment
  • Learn strategies and interventions that will build your skills and confidence in SEN support
  • Play an important role in helping young people achieve their full potential-academically, socially, and emotionally

  • A recent graduate (any discipline considered, but psychology, sociology, education, and related fields are highly valued)
  • A warm, patient, and resilient personality
  • A genuine interest in SEN and supporting young people
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Someone who is eager to learn and develop professionally

No prior school experience is required-just the right attitude and a desire to make a difference. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.
