We are seeking a capable, reliable and adaptable candidate to work across our Primary and Secondary faculties to provide internal relief on a full-time basis. This opportunity will suit someone who is looking for full time work, enjoys variety, can hit the ground running and remains calm under pressure. You will require an active interest and enthusiasm to engage with the Steiner curriculum.

We support all of our educators to grow and develop their own teaching through ongoing professional learning activities as well as mentoring through Orana’s College of Teachers. Appointment will be temporary with the potential for further extension or permanency.

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS

• excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire young people;
• the skills and attitude to work collaboratively in a dynamic team setting;
• a willingness to implement, support and promote the School’s Steiner ethos; a strong commitment to student wellbeing;
• a willingness to be involved in the wider life of the School; and understanding of the Australian Curriculum. In addition, to be successful for this specific role, the applicant will be:
• capable and confident to teach across both Primary and Secondary faculties.
• flexible, adaptable, highly organised, and enthusiastic about the Steiner curriculum regardless of the subjects or ages they are teaching on any given day; and
• extremely reliable with their attendance for this position to be successful. The successful applicant will be required to attend all weekly Faculty meetings (each Thursday) as well as all teaching and professional learning days.

You must also:

• hold a teaching qualification
• hold ACT TQI registration or Permit to Teach
• hold a current ACT WWVP registration; and
• be eligible to work in Australia, unrestricted.
