Veritas Education is looking to appoint a Female Sports Coach to support PE departments within a secondary school in the Wakefield area. This role involves delivering and assisting with girls' PE lessons, leading small groups, and supporting extra-curricular sporting activities across KS3 and KS4.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the planning and delivery of girls' PE lessons across a range of sports.
• Supervise groups of students during practical activities and fixtures.
• Promote positive behaviour, teamwork, inclusion, and participation.
• Deliver sessions independently where required.
• Assist with lunchtime and after-school sports clubs.
• Provide encouragement, guidance, and pastoral support in line with school policies and safeguarding expectations.

Requirements

• Experience coaching or teaching sport (school or club setting).
• Confident leading physical activities with secondary-aged students.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A passion for promoting physical activity, wellbeing, and engagement.
• An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one through Veritas Education.
• Relevant coaching qualifications are desirable but not essential.
