Details: The Flexible Education Team are looking for an Executive Teacher to provide leadership and oversight of ACT students applying for and accessing Distance Education through Finigan School of Distance Education as well as lead the teaching teams at the Hospital School and CAHMS Cottage Program.

Our ideal applicant will have demonstrated experience coaching and mentoring staff and the ability to support staff in creating trauma informed classrooms and teaching practices.

Eligibility/Other requirements:

A minimum of four years full time (or equivalent) tertiary study leading to the award of a recognised school teaching qualification.

Current professional teaching registration with the ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) or eligibility to obtain TQI.

Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) - Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required. For further information on Working with Vulnerable People registration refer to - Working with vulnerable people (WWVP) registration (act.gov.au).

Notes: An order of merit will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
