English Teacher – Secondary School (0.7 FTE) - 7 days a fortnight

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join our secondary school on a 0.7 load, teaching junior English classes only (Years 7–10). This position is ideal for a teacher who values collaboration, strong organisation, and high-quality teaching and learning supported by well-established programs and resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess engaging English lessons aligned with the NSW English syllabus for Years 7–10
• Implement existing teaching programs, units of work, and assessment tasks, adapting them to meet the diverse learning needs of students
• Use a range of effective teaching strategies to support literacy development, critical thinking, and student engagement
• Monitor, assess and report on student progress in line with school and system requirements
• Maintain accurate records of student learning, assessment, and wellbeing
• Establish positive, respectful relationships with students to support learning and wellbeing
• Collaborate with faculty members to plan, review and refine teaching and learning practices
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional learning, and school activities relevant to the role
