About Our School

About You

As English Coordinator, you will provide strategic and instructional leadership, guide curriculum delivery and model exemplary practice. The position is a 2-point promotional role, temporary for up to 3 years, however your teaching position will be full-time and permanent. You will bring expertise in NESA and HSC requirements and your work will contribute to every student reaching their full potential through high quality, collaborative and engaging pedagogy.

To excel in this role, you will be able to:

  • provide leadership and oversight of all English teaching and learning, ensuring excellence in curriculum delivery and assessment
  • demonstrate expertise in English with the ability to teach Stage 6 English courses, including Extension 1 & 2 English, is desirable
  • create and implement engaging, rigorous planned learning experiences catering to the diverse needs of students
  • create and utilise formative and summative assessments to drive student progress
  • employ a data-informed approach to setting challenging learning objectives and providing constructive feedback
  • support and mentor teachers through professional development, feedback, and shared learning approaches
  • demonstrate excellent classroom management skills focused on student well-being
  • integrate technology to enhance contemporary learning experiences
  • contribute to the wider life of the school through Co-Curricular involvement, events, and professional learning initiatives
  • provide evidence of a tertiary qualification in Education & NESA accreditation
  • provide Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead
