- Deliver or contribute to religious education
- Lead or assist in religious services
- Engage in religious practices, such as leading prayers, devotions, and sharing testimonies with staff and students
As representatives of NT Christian Schools, applicants for these roles must hold and act consistently with the religious beliefs of the organisation, as outlined in its Policies and Procedures.
NT Christian Schools provides a thoroughly Christian education and aims to give a faithful witness to its biblically-based religious beliefs. A clear commitment to these beliefs, including those outlined in the Policies and Procedures of NT Christian Schools, is a genuine occupational qualification for this role.
Employees are expected to:
- Have a clear understanding of, and unqualified commitment to, the biblical basis of NT Christian Schools.
- Act consistently with these beliefs in the workplace and other contexts to provide an authentic Christian witness.
This role requires the practice, delivery, and contribution to religious education in line with NT Christian Schools' Policies and Procedures, and a life consistent with those beliefs. Teachers must model the highest commitment to the Lord, the Bible, and schooling from a distinctly Christian perspective.
Teachers will support the teaching of the Australian curriculum through a biblical worldview, lead staff and student devotions and prayer time, and share personal testimonies. Modeling an authentic Christian life is a core requirement of the role, contributing significantly to the maintenance of the religious ethos of the school.
NT Christian Schools expects staff to serve and love one another as Christ loves them, acknowledging that all people are fallible and fully reliant on God. The organisation upholds mutual love, service, trust, acceptance, patience, forgiveness, and support among staff members.
All employees must ensure the safety, health, and wellbeing of children, adhering to the relevant legislative requirements and policies of NT Christian Schools.
