About Andale School
Located in Kew, Andale School is a small, independent special school for students aged 5–13 years who experience language and learning difficulties and are not able to learn effectively in a mainstream setting.
We provide individualised learning interventions for every student, designed through assessment, observation, and evidence-based teaching practices. Each student’s program is aligned with the Victorian Curriculum and supported by a multidisciplinary team, including a School Psychologist, Speech Pathologist, and Occupational Therapist.
Our approach focuses on the whole child – promoting learning equally across the social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical domains. We believe every child deserves a program that recognises their unique learning profile and builds on their strengths.
Our Vision and Values
At Andale, we strive to develop unique Australian children by embracing their differences and empowering them with education.
Our school values are at the heart of everything we do:
Courage • Authenticity • Respect • Safety
We are proudly neuroaffirming – recognising and celebrating neurodiversity and supporting students in ways that honour their communication styles, sensory needs, and individuality.
Our three cornerstones – Growth, Community, and Environment – guide our holistic approach to education and wellbeing.
