We are seeking to establish a pool of Special Needs Education Assistants for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2027 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
South Bunbury Primary School (PS) was established in 1913 and has a highly regarded history of providing quality education to generations of families. The South Bunbury Campus is located on the traditional lands of the Noongar Wardandi people, and we acknowledge and respect the contribution they make to the education of everyone in our school community.
At South Bunbury PS, we believe in unlocking every child’s unique learning potential by providing the tool kit for them to leap with confidence. Success for our students means embracing challenges with curiosity and resilience to achieve academically, socially and emotionally. As a school that aspires to meet the needs of every student, we prioritise consistent evidence-based teaching practices, inclusive learning environments and a culture of collaboration.
Our Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approach is grounded in high expectations for student behaviour and the belief that positive behaviours must be consistently modelled, explicitly taught and reinforced. Through the collaborative efforts of our PBS and Student Support teams, we ensure that teachers are equipped with the skills and resources needed to foster engagement and help every student reach their full potential.
Our school shares the campus with South Bunbury Education Support Centre, providing an opportunity to promote inclusion and ensure our school environment is a welcoming space for every student.
