Early Years Teaching Assistant

Veritas Education is currently recruiting Early Years Teaching Assistants to work in welcoming and supportive primary schools from September. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who have experience working with young children and are looking for a rewarding full-time role within an Early Years setting.
As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting children's learning, development, and wellbeing within Nursery and Reception classrooms. Working alongside experienced teachers and support staff, you will help create a nurturing environment where every child can thrive.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting children with learning through play and structured activities
- Assisting with phonics, early literacy, numeracy and communication development
- Providing small group and 1:1 support where required
- Encouraging children's social, emotional and physical development
- Helping to create a safe, engaging and stimulating learning environment
- Supporting children with additional needs and adapting activities where necessary
- Building positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience working with children in an Early Years setting
- A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach
- Good understanding of the EYFS framework
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- The ability to engage and inspire young learners
- Relevant childcare or education qualifications are desirable but not essential
