Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic College (OLSH) is seeking a passionate ELC & OSHC Director to lead our Early Learning Centre and Outside School Hours Care programs in Alice Springs.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape high-quality early learning experiences while leading a dedicated team that supports children and families within our vibrant school community.

💰 Salary: $100,777 per year
📍 Location: Alice Springs, NT
🕙 Position: Full Time

About the Role

As Director, you will oversee the daily operations of both the Early Learning Centre (ELC) and Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) programs, ensuring high-quality care, compliance and engaging learning experiences for children.

You will work closely with the College Principal while leading a supportive team that includes an Early Childhood Teacher in the ELC and a Team Leader in OSHC.

Programs operate in line with the Early Years Learning Framework, My Time Our Place Framework and National Quality Standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the ELC and OSHC programs
• Ensure services operate in line with policies, regulations and quality standards
• Support and mentor staff to deliver engaging, child-focused programs
• Work collaboratively with the Principal on program planning and evaluation
• Foster positive relationships with children, families and staff
• Provide direct care and support to children as required

About You

You will be a passionate early childhood professional who enjoys leading teams and creating positive learning environments.

Essential requirements:

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
• NT Working With Children (Ochre) Card
• Senior First Aid Certificate
• Demonstrated leadership experience in an early childhood setting
• Strong communication skills with children, families and staff
• Ability to lead programs based on children’s strengths and interests
• Confidence using computers and digital systems
