Daramalan College invites applications for the senior executive role of Deputy Principal, a pivotal leadership position supporting the Principal and contributing to the strategic and cultural leadership of the College.

Deputy Principal – Daramalan College, Canberra

As a key member of the College Executive, the Deputy Principal works closely with the Principal, Chief Operating Officer, and Assistant Principals to lead the day‑to‑day and long‑term operations of the College, ensuring a thriving, inclusive, and high‑performing learning community grounded in the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart (MSC) charism.

Reporting to the Principal, the Deputy Principal:

• Provides shared leadership of the College and acts for the Principal when required
• Leads and supports members of the Executive and Assistant Principal team
• Contributes to strategic planning, school improvement, and governance processes
• Attends College Board meetings and relevant sub‑committees
• Serves as Senior Safeguarding Officer for the College
• Leads staff recruitment, allocation, induction, performance, and wellbeing processes
• Oversees professional learning, leadership development, and compliance with teacher accreditation requirements
• Works collaboratively with the Chief Operating Officer on whole‑school planning, risk, and compliance
• Maintains a visible and relational presence across the life of the College, including co‑curricular and community activities
