COLLEGE COUNSELLOR

(Part time, temporary - 0.6 FTE, 3 days per week)

The College is seeking the services of a motivated and experienced Psychologist/College Counsellor to join the College's Pastoral Care team. The position is part time (0.6 FTE) during term time (38 weeks) plus 4 weeks (42 weeks in total). Flexibility is provided in working days, however the preference is for a counsellor who is able to work Mon/Wed/Fri each week if possible. This is a temporary position for Terms 1 - 4, 2026, covering the parental leave of one of our Counsellors.

Responsibilities include individual and group counselling and working with teachers and parents to advise on the emotional, behavioural and social needs of students. This position also has responsibility for guiding families to external services when required and close collaboration with key members of staff at the school.

The successful applicant will be a qualified psychologist experienced in working with young people and who understands the complexities of adolescent development and difficulties that may be experienced by students at various stages.

Appropriate tertiary qualifications are required. Applicants must be registered with AHPRA and be eligible for membership of the APS.
