The Role
We are currently seeking co-educators who will assist in implementing a care program catering to the individual needs of each child within a group setting.
Co-educators play a crucial role at Sheldon College, with each day offering a variety-filled and dynamic experience.
Primary duties include supervising and interacting with the children, setting up activities, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all at our ELC facilities.
This role includes a strong responsibility for child safety and wellbeing, ensuring all practices align with legislative requirements and the College’s Child Safety and Wellbeing framework.

About you
- Minimum Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent); or
- Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent)
- Current Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting certificate
- Current ACECQA-approved Anaphylaxis and Emergency Asthma Management Training
- Ability to create a safe, secure learning environment where individual differences are respected and valued
- Strong team orientation with the willingness to contribute and collaborate
- Ability to establish effective relationships with colleagues, parents and the wider community
- Demonstrated professional communication skills
- High standards of personal integrity and professionalism
- Model the 4C’s – Courtesy, Consideration, Cooperation and Common Sense
- Uphold the professional expectations of Sheldon College at all times
Child Safety and Wellbeing
- Hold or be able to obtain a valid Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
- Demonstrated understanding of child safety, duty of care and mandatory reporting obligations
- Completion of accredited Child Protection Training
- Completion of Child Safety Training in accordance with Child Safe Standards (e.g. CHCPRT025 or equivalent), or willingness to obtain upon commencement
- Ability to maintain a safe, inclusive and supportive environment for all children
- Commitment to complying with the College’s Student Safety and Wellbeing policies and procedures
