About Our School

St Charles Catholic Primary School Ryde is one of the oldest ongoing Catholic schools in Sydney. It is a K -6 co-educational school in the Mercy tradition. We are a Positive Behaviour for Learning school where all students are safe, respectful and responsible students. St Charles enjoys a strong reputation in the local and wider communities for outstanding pastoral care and strong continuous academic credentials. We are a Newman gifted school where every student is catered for through individual learning plans based on sound assessment and data interrogation practices.

This is a sought after school by families where we currently enjoy an enrolment of 590 students in a full three stream school. The school shares one Executive Principal and works very closely with the neighbouring OLQP Gladesville school to maximise staff collaborative practices and where each shares one instructional pedagogical model with collaborative teacher coach at its core. We are a proud Catholic school who is served well by the Verbum Dei priests who are regular features of an inclusive and dynamic learning community.

About You

As a Classroom Teacher, you will inspire students through engaging, student-centered teaching within a Catholic learning environment. You'll bring:

• expertise in developing a K-6 Curriculum and the application of effective learning pedagogies
• strong classroom management and student well-being focus
• ability to create inclusive, rigorous learning experiences
• a tertiary qualification in Education and NESA accreditation
• Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead.
