St. Joseph's Primary School is a small inner-city Catholic Primary School that provides a quality education where the students are at the heart of all that we do.

St Joseph's is governed under the authority of Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Limited (MACS) ABN 18643442371. MACS is the employer of employees at St Joseph's School.

A highly motivated teacher is required to join our teaching team at St Joseph’s as a full-time classroom teacher commencing term 1, 2026.

Salary: $79,589 - $118,063, based on experience in accordance with the Teacher scale of the Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2022 (CEMEA).

It is essential that the successful applicant embraces inquiry-based pedagogy that is personalised in a child-centred learning environment, and possesses a sound knowledge of and ability to implement a contemporary pedagogy that is engaging and motivating.

The successful applicant must demonstrate an ability to:

• use data to drive student learning and inform best practice
• establish meaningful relationships with students whilst creating an inclusive, vibrant classroom
• work collaboratively and enthusiastically with his/her peers.

Skills/Experience required:

• Bachelor of Education or relevant tertiary qualification.
• A commitment to Catholic education.
• An ability to create an engaging learning environment that caters for the needs of all students.
• An eagerness to learn.
• An enthusiasm to implement a differentiated curriculum and use modern technology to support student learning.

Special Requirements:

• St Joseph's promotes the safety, well-being, and inclusion of all children; therefore, the successful applicant must demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to providing a safe environment for children.
• The successful applicant will hold the Victorian Institute of Teaching registration.
• Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school is preferred.
