About the Role

We are seeking an Expression of Interest from a suitably qualified, innovative and experienced Chinese Language teacher for a potential part-time Chinese Language Teaching position, commencing in 2026.

About You

You are a dedicated and passionate language educator who thrives on bringing culture and communication to life in the classroom. You will have:

• Fluency in written and spoken Chinese (Putonghua)
• Experience teaching Chinese in a Primary School or equivalent setting
• A talent for creating engaging, authentic learning experiences that promote linguistic confidence and intercultural understanding
• Collaborative spirit and the ability to inspire and lead colleagues
• PYP experience or a strong understanding of Inquiry-based pedagogy
• A relevant tertiary qualification and teaching credentials
• ACT Teacher’s Registration (TQI) or eligibility to obtain one
• Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills
• A commitment to the broader life of an independent school

All team members at CGS are required to have:

• A valid ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card
• Excellent technological literacy across a range of applications
• A current National Police Check; and
• Full working rights within Australia.
