As an SLSO, you will work alongside teachers to support young people with diverse learning, social, emotional, and behavioural needs within our Special Assistance School. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of students while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.
The role includes:
- Supporting students in the classroom and during learning activities.
- Assisting students to engage positively in their education.
- Promoting student wellbeing and positive behaviour.
- Providing individual and small group support as directed by teaching staff.
- Supervising students during breaks and school activities when required.
We are looking for people who are:
- Patient, compassionate, and adaptable.
- Excellent communicators who work well in a team.
- Passionate about supporting young people to achieve success.
- Able to build positive relationships with students and staff.
SLSO qualification and experience working with young people, disability support, education, youth work, or community services is desirable but not essential.
